Mindfulness Based Approaches (MBAs) teach you how to develop mindfulness through the practice of meditation to help you look after your mental health. Mindfulness means being aware of what is happening in your experience - in your mind and your body. By developing mindfulness, you can learn how to break the link between negative thinking and the negative moods that this can lead to.
Medical research in recent years has shown that MBAs can have a positive impact on physical and mental health. MBAs can be used in many ways, but can be particularly effective in preventing relapse into depression and addiction, as well as in managing stress and anxiety. In this section, you can read more detailed information about the MBAs we provide at Breathing Space.
