We're aware that one of the effects of the lockdown period, for many, has been an increase in addictive tendencies. Addiction can take many forms, from drug and alcohol dependence, to gambling, gaming and shopping. You may find yourself addicted to reading the news, your work or social media account. We'd like to help you overcome some of those unhelpful habits, with a two part course in Mindfulness for Addiction Management. Our clinically-recognised addiction program was pioneered at Breathing Space by Dr Paramabandhu Groves, a former consultant NHS psychiatrist specialising in addiction. He went on to co-author award winning book Eight-Step Recovery with Vimalasara Mason-John.
Join Paramabandhu on Monday and Thursday evenings, for 3 weeks, for an in-depth interactive course on managing addiction. Dr Groves will present a new theme each session, followed by a guided meditation, break-out groups of 4-5 people and a chance to ask questions. You'll also receive session summaries via email and a recording of each session.
