Mindfulness is the awareness that arises from paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally, to things as they are.

Mindfulness for Health is a new course we are offering. Taught by experienced Buddhists, the course offers you the tools and techniques to manage your chronic health condition. Whatever you are bringing in terms of the course – whether pain; short or long term general or specific health conditions; this course will benefit you.

Our course is based on evidence collated from many clinical trials*. Thousands of people have

benefited. Mindfulness meditation can enhance the body’s own immune system.

By learning practical tried and tested techniques, participants learn to manage their health

condition, and open up to a richer, more fulfilling life. The course is underpinned by a training in

compassion so that we can begin to understand and relate to our health condition in a kindly

way.

This is a practice teaching course for  Kāvyamaṇī and Cahit and is the final part of their

training to become accredited practitioners with leading teacher training provider,

Breathworks.

Please get in touch with us if you would like to find out more, or you wish to explore if this is

the appropriate course for you.

Kavyamani

Cahit works for Breathing Space. He is a mindfulness practitioner and an accredited coach. He enjoys overseeing our carers’ programme, and experiencing the transformation that happens with regular practice.

Kāvyamaṇī is a Buddhist name meaning 'Jewel of Inspiration'.  It was here, at Breathing Space, on a mindfulness for depression course, where she first learned to meditate.  It was the beginning of a journey that continues to this day and has radically transformed her life.  She lives and works in the local Tower Hamlets community and wants to share all she has gained from Breathing Space, with anyone who comes calling to its doors.
