Introductory training day on mindfulness-based approaches for health professionals


This training day introduces health professionals to the theory and practice of using mindfulness to help with mental health-related conditions. It includes the principles of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) for depression, mindfulness-based relapse prevention (MBRP) for addiction and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) for stress and anxiety. It covers the practices of mindfulness and how they work to alleviate a variety of health problems.


The day is led by Dr Paramabandhu Groves who is a consultant psychiatrist with Camden & Islington Foundation Trust, clinical director of Breathing Space and an experienced teacher of mindfulness-based approaches.

Time: 10AM – 5PM.


Lunch: There will be a lunch break between 1-2PM. Lunch is not included in the price, but there are several restaurants and café’s just around the corner.


Certificate of attendance: will be provided at the end of the day.


Place: Breathing Space, at the London Buddhist Centre, 51 Roman Road, E2 0HU, Bethnal Green. The Breathing Space entrance is from Roman Road. Doors will be open from 9:45AM on the day.
