Mindfulness is the awareness that arises from paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally, to things as they are.
Mindfulness for Health is an evidence-based* 8-week face to face course, for those who are suffering with chronic and short-term health challenges.
By using a mindfulness-based approach, participants learn how to manage pain and ill-health. This might be a major debilitating condition that stops us from living our lives, or ability to cope; or a mild, niggling health concern. Whatever your experience of ill-health, you are welcome to attend.
We teach practical tools and a compassionate approach to pain and ill-health. Much of the pain experienced can be reduced by practising tried and tested techniques. Easy to learn, and easy to incorporate into daily life, these tools offer highly positive results. Participants report to us after the course that they have regained control over their lives. Not only that, but they have found a new confidence that they not only can cope, but thrive, and turn towards living their full potential.
This could be you!
We have helped thousands of people improve the quality of their lives. Evidence to support Mindfulness for Health shows that it can be just as effective as taking painkillers and can enhance the body's natural healing systems. The course also helps reduce the secondary, but no less significant, symptoms brought on by health challenges, such as prolonged negative mental states, fatigue, and overwhelm.
